How can you go to Florida and not go to Universal Studios!?

I have never been more excited, Volcano Bay and Universal Studios over a couple of days – looked and sounded amazing. The hotel that we stayed at was actually connected to Volcano Bay, which is a water park that has giant volcano in the centre that has 3 door drop slides in it. I really enjoyed the water park as I had never been to one before, there was a lot of waiting around though for the rides which was a slight downside, but as you can expect it was peak season so we were lucky that we actually managed to get onto the rides that we wanted. Something to take into account is the weather, any thunder storms or even a hint of bad weather the park will close all the rides, but we found that the bad weather didn’t normally start until mid-afternoon. So my advice is go early in the morning, just incase the weather does turn bad, at least you would have gotten a couple hours in!

Universal Studios was a lot of fun – especially all of the Harry Potter sections, being in Hogsmead and Diagon Alley was such a surreal experience. If you’re a Harry Potter fan or not, this is honestly something I would not miss out on – it was magical! Being able to catch the Hogwarts Express from one park to the other was incredible. Drinking butter beer, seeing the castle, seeing Gringotts. Everything about it was amazing – I don’t want to say to much just incase any of you do go.

Inside the park you are able to buy refillable soft drink cups, this is something that I would highly recommend doing, it honestly became a life saver – it was so hot while we were there! Make sure you get the butter beer, I would recommend the slush version, was a lot more refreshing than the regular drink. Also be aware that if it rains/ a storm all the outside rides will close but the inside ones stay open!!

I would highly recommend eating in City Walk, this is connected to both parks and you have to actually walk through it to get to them. There are so many different restaurants, souvenir shops and even cinema! I highly recommend Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville and Voo Doo Doughnuts, the best doughnuts I have probably ever had!
